MOTOR SPORT: Karting champion launches new driving experience

THE Haynes International Motor Museum at Sparkford will be the location of the launch of the new Ziemelis Driving School First Drive Experience.

After over 30 years in the motorsport industry, three-times British Kart Champion and founder of Ziemelis Motorsport, Stuart Ziemelis, believes the time is right to strengthen the company portfolio and launch a new service.

Since 1988, Ziemelis Motorsport have been actively involved in the training of drivers as young as eight-years-old for motorsport and feel that the introduction of road awareness training will complement their existing services.

The Ziemelis Driving School First Drive Experience will launch at the prestigious Haynes International Motor Museum, at Sparkford, on Saturday, April 3.

The First Drive Experience will target under-17’s and focus on basic car control and confidence building to prepare young drivers for road based driving lessons and ultimately their driving test.

Using the purpose built track at Haynes, the First Drive Experience will offer an unrivalled service in terms of venue, with its safe and traffic free environment and training from qualified DSA ADI instructors with many years experience in both track and road instruction.

The lessons can also be tailored to suit those drivers returning to the wheel after a long period of absence either through ill-health or personal circumstance, building confidence and up-to-date road safety and knowledge to help them return to the road.

Each lesson begins with a full safety briefing and lessons start from just £40 for a full 30 minutes of driving time.
